The Medical Trust Institute of Medical Sciences (MTIMS) successfully hosted the official ISRT Kerala Chapter one-day conference on the occasion of World Radiology Day, held on November 8, 2025. The event centered on the theme: “Advancements in Diagnostic Imaging and Therapeutic Applications.”
The conference served as a vital platform for professional discourse, bringing together over 160 delegates, including Radiologists, RSOs, Technologists, and academic students.
Inaugural Ceremony
The formal proceedings were graced by the institutional leadership:
Dr. P. V. Thomas (Medical and Commercial Director) delivered the Inaugural Address. Dr. Anila Paul (PT) (Principal) and Comm. Dr. M. P. J. John (Dean, MTIMS) addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of continuous education in medical technology. A Special Address was delivered by Mr. Mahesh P. S. (National Leader, ISRT), who highlighted the indispensable role of technologists in patient care pathways and reaffirmed the Chapter’s commitment to academic advancement.
✨ The occasion was further enlightened by the presence of Ms. Aswathy, Secretary, ISRT Kerala Chapter, who offered felicitations and appreciated the efforts of MTIMS and the academic team for organizing such a meaningful event.
Scientific Sessions
The academic momentum continued with three high-impact sessions:
“Proton to an Image” – A session on the physics behind image generation, by Mr. Mahesh P. S. “Window Through Diseases – X-ray Interpretation” – A case-based workshop aimed at enhancing diagnostic interpretation skill by Mr Anoop PC “CT: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” – An insightful presentation on the evolution and future of CT imaging, by Mr. Rajesh K. M.
The afternoon concluded with Students’ Paper and Poster Presentations, reflecting MTIMS’s dedication to nurturing emerging research talent in diagnostic sciences.
