The Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists (ISRT) Chandigarh Chapter marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its Academic Wing, coinciding with the celebration of World Radiography Day, at Hotel Kwality, Sector 14, Chandigarh.

The event was graced by distinguished guests including Prof. (Dr.) Paramjit Singh, Head, Department of Radiodiagnosis, PGIMER Chandigarh; Dr. Akshay Saxena, Professor, Department of Radiodiagnosis, PGIMER Chandigarh; Dr. Babita Ghai , Professor , Deptt of Anaesthesia,PGIMER, Chandigarh, Dr. S. C. Bansal, Member, National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP); Mr. Susheel Kashyap, Faculty, Department of Radiodiagnosis, PGIMER Chandigarh; Ms. Nidhi Goswami, Assistant Professor, Chitkara University, Mohali; and Mr. Balwinder Thapa, Associate Professor, Dolphin PG College, Mohali.

Each of the esteemed guests shared insightful and motivational addresses, highlighting the evolving role of radiographers and technologists in the healthcare system, and emphasizing the importance of continuous academic growth and collaboration.

A brief introduction of the ISRT Chandigarh Chapter and its objectives was presented by Mr. Gopi Chand Dobhal, General Secretary ISRT Chandigarh Chapter. The vision and future goals of the newly formed Academic Wing were outlined by Mr. Aditya Nagrath, President, ISRT Chandigarh Chapter, who emphasized the need for research, training, and professional development to strengthen the radiology community in the region.

The event concluded with an interactive session and a vote of thanks, marking a successful beginning for the academic initiatives of ISRT Chandigarh Chapter and reaffirming the collective commitment towards professional excellence in radiography and imaging sciences.
