Raebareli academic club, ISRT UP Chapter

Raebareli, 9th November 2024 – In celebration of the 129th World Radiography Day, a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on the theme “Emerging Trends &Recent Advancements in Radiology” was held at AIIMS Raebareli on November 9, 2024. The event was organized in collaboration with the Indian Society of Radiographers & Technologists, Uttar Pradesh (UP)Chapter ,and brought together distinguished speakers, healthcare professionals, radiologists, and students from across the country. The Chief Guest for the event was Prof. Dr. Arvind Rajwanshi, Executive Director of AIIMS Raebareli, who inaugurated the session. In her address, Prof. Dr. Niraj Kumari, Dean Academics, and Dr .Neeraj Kumar Srivastava ,Additional Medical Superintendent, who were the guests of honor, spoke about the continuous need for knowledge – sharing and professional development in the rapidly evolving field of radiology. The CME event was chaired by Dr. Kushal Singh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiodiagnosis at AIIMS Raebareli. In his opening remarks, Dr. Singh under scored the importance of staying up-to date with the latest advancements in imaging technologies and diagnostic methods to enhance clinical practices. The organizing committee, led by Mr. Abhishek Kumar (Organizing Secretary), Mr. Satyam Verma and Mr. Nipun Chawla (Co-Organizing Secretary), ensured the smooth execution of the event, which saw enthusiastic participation from various stake holders in the medical and radiology fields. The Efforts and hardwork of all staff members of the department of radiology were appreciated. The educational session featured a series of thought – provoking presentations by esteemed speakers from leading medical institutions. Prof. (Dr.) Gaurav Raj, Prof. Dr. Shamrendra Singh, and Prof. Dr. A. K. Shukla from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr. RMLIMS)Lucknow, Prof.Dr. Durgesh Dwivedi from King George’s Medical University (KGMU), and Prof. Dr. AnuragJ ain from Command Hospital, were among the no table speakers who shared their expertise on the latest advancements in radiology. Key topics covered included the integration of artificial intelligence in medical imaging, the role of 3D imaging and molecular imaging techniques, the emerging trends in interventional radiology, and the impact of cutting-edge diagnostic technologies on clinical decision-making. The event also provided an excellent platform for students and professionals to engage with experts and explore the future of radiology and medical imaging. Participants included MD, PhD, MSc and BSc radiography students from renowned institutions such as UCMS Delhi, TMU Moradabad, UPUMS Saifai, ERA University Lucknow, Integral University Lucknow, TS Mishra University Lucknow, Indira Gandhi Paramedical College Amethi, Saraswati Medical College Hapur, and Uttarakhand PG College Dehradun. As the day concluded, the participants expressed their gratitude for the invaluable insights shared by the experts and their eagerness to implement the new knowledge in their respective fields to improve patient care and outcomes. This event marks a significant milestone in strengthening the radiology community in India, fostering knowledge exchange, and encouraging the continuous professional growth of radiographers and radiologists across the country.
