Sant Baba Bhag Singh University organized the 2nd National CME in collaboration with ISRT on the topic: Precision and Compassion: The Role of Radiographers in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Modern With the blessings of the revered Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji (Founder Chancellor) and Sant Baba Dilawar Singh Ji under the inspiration of the Honorable Chancellor Sant Manmohan Singh Ji and the leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar Ji and Hardaman Singh Minhas (Secretary), on November 11, 2025, the Discipline of Radiology, Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences (UIS), Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists (ISRT), organized the 2nd National CME on the topic: Precision and Compassion: The Role of Radiographers in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Modern Healthcare. The program began with a holly recitation, followed by the inauguration ceremony, which was started with a warm welcome to the guests by Dr. Aksh Sharma who delivered the welcome address. Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar graced the occasion as the Chief Patron and honored the organizing team. He specifically welcomed the guests, including Mr. Joy Anzar Hamid, President of ISRT Punjab (Chief Guest), Mr. Narinder Sharma, Secretary of ISRT Punjab, Mrs. Manjinder Danoha , Senior Vice President of ISRT Punjab, Mr. Randhir Singh Doad Regional Coordinator of ISRT Punjab, Mr. Joginder Singh and Mr. Ravinder Kumar from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and Mr. Abdul Wajid Bhatt and Mr. Raja Owais. During the program, the CME brochure was released.
The Guest speaker highlights the key aspects about the emerging role of radiographers in modern healthcare and the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on diagnostic imaging. Their insightful presentations highlighted the integration of emerging technologies and the need for continuous learning among professionals. Around 240+ students from various universities and colleges participated in the event and presented posters and models and oral presentation to showcase their talent. At the end of the program, the winners of the oral,poster and model presentations were honoured. The awardees were felicitated for their outstanding contributions and excellence in their respective categories. The summary report of the CME was presented by Administrative Secretary Mr. Abdul Wahid Bhat and Ms.Insha Imtiyaz who highlighted the key discussions and outcomes of the event. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Vijay Dhir, Dean Academics, Roop Singh Bisht Registrar, Deans of various departments, Heads of Departments, Professors, and Associate Professors. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shweta Singh (Dean UIS), who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Honourable Vice Chancellor, guests, speakers, and participants for their valuable presence and contribution to the success of the CME
