The Department of Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology, University School of Physiotherapy & Radiology, Rayat Bahra University, successfully organized the 6ᵗʰ Continuing Medical Education (CME) on the occasion of World Radiology Day 2025, under the theme “Empowering Radiology through AI-Driven Imaging . It also paid tribute to Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on the 130ᵗʰ anniversary of his discovery of X-rays, which revolutionized medical imaging.
Organized under the esteemed guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Group Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, the CME reflected the University’s commitment to innovation and academic excellence. The program was conducted in collaboration with ClearMedi Bahra Multispeciality Hospital and the Indian Society of Radiological Technologists (ISRT) Punjab Chapter, with Prof. (Dr.) Lalit Kumar Gupta, Dean – USPR, serving as Organizing Chairperson & Mr. Arun Yadav Dy Director RBU. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Vinod Kumar Dangwal, Chairperson, Punjab State Allied and Healthcare Council (PSAHC), and Associate Professor, Government Medical College, Patiala. Distinguished guests included Mr. Randhir Singh Doad, Joy Anzer Hamid, Narender Sharma, and Prem Kumar Fanan from the ISRT Punjab and Chandigarh Chapters. Expert sessions by Dr. Vipin Suchak, Ms. Manjinder Kaur Dhanoa, Mr. Mohit Sharma, and Mr. Akram offered valuable insights into AI’s growing impact on medical imaging — enhancing interpretation accuracy, reducing diagnostic errors, and bridging technology with clinical expertise.
